Okay, maybe it's a bit late to comment on this video and what I'm about to say may sound stupid and "gay" to some people (bring it on idiots, I don't care what you think!) but I actually have to shed a tear when he says "you know what, keep the change"...and I didn't even see the movie!

Every time the Bum has a new review I see people comment how this is "teh gr8tist rev-u evar!" but I honestly think THIS ONE is IT. - pharaoh

I'm gonna piss off a lot of people with this, but the thing (besides Harvey) in the movie that bugged me the most was...Batman. Now, let's get one thing straight - I love the guy as much as the next nerd. it's the friggin Batman after all.
The first time I watched the movie it rocked. But the second time I watched it was something along the lines of "Blah blah blah blah OH MY GOD IT'S THE JOKER HE'S BEING AWESOME AND SLAUGHTERING PEOPLE and oh now batman is talking, and harvey is talking, and albert is talking, and that chick I don't give a fuck about is talking, and some other guy is talking OH THE IT'S THE JOKER AGAIN!!"

Yeah, the Joker was awesome in the movie. But I think a bit too awesome. It made Batman's presence in the movie less desirable, and that's just wrong.

Just to put it simple - Yeah I agree. The movie WAS really really "DAMN!" - Jenx

The Dark Knight is one of those movies which left me contemplating it's philosophical choices and dilemmas, much like The Matrix (first one). Any movie which can do that, deserves every shred of positive attention. I think you really captured that in the review. - cookiemonster

My exact same reaction. Went in expecting to see a typical superhero movie... and came out scratching my head and wondering how could it be that good... now, the last speech by Gordon, that was just stating the obvious, like a recap in case one didn't got the movie, so I kinda resent it, I had get it already, so no need to listen to him retold the morale... besides that... Damn... so true, just damn. - Baalcebub

Well I just saw the movie and...was I the only one who found the Two-Face plot mostly superficial and of a much lower quality than the main plot? He switches to being evil far too quickly in my opinion, and the movie feels anticlimactic when they spend the last parts of it on it (after the extremely suspenseful climax between Batman and the Joker). The original plan was apparently to Two-Face emerge in the third movie, which I think would've been better. The transformation just seems too sudden (the buildup to Dent becoming Two-Face was done MUCH better in Batman: The Animated Series), and the final scenes about him feel underwhelming after everything that we went through.

Even with that complaint, though, this movie was still awesome. - Lord Seth

I agree with the 'Well, DAMN!' thing.
I mean, Burton's first Batman film was good, is good, and so was Nocholson's Joker.
It's just that The Dark Knight and Ledger's Joker is even better. ^_^

The film wasn't perfect and had a few flaws, but it was still fuckin' awesome.
The parts that stood out most was the more low key parts between many of the characters, Wayne and Alfred, Wayne and Lucious, Dent, Wayne, Rachel, Gordon and his family.
And of course the Joker. Ledger's portrayal is really fuckin' intense, and scary as hell.

Dent turning into two-face suffered a bit from how quick it was I think. Perhaps it can be put down to brain damage, but still.

Also, for all its darkness I found the ending... hopeful. Also realistic. It's harsh world and often the good guys take losses and have to do awful stuff too but evil doesn't automatically triumph, even when things look as dark as that.

Finally, on the real world side: Directors and producers please take note!
A film doesn't have to be a drama to have a good plot or ask hard questions.
A superhero movie (or similar) works fine for it too! Please don't put all the effort on fancy special effects or explosions.
As the reviews should tell - we like films that both make us think, asks hard questions and cool gadgets and explosions.

Make more of them, please. Don't treat us moviegoers like idiots.
Even Hollywood could do this kind of films once upon a time. Let this be the first of many such films making a comeback. - Suntiger

Well the Dark Knight did have the best Joker performance so far, sadly Heath Ledger wont be around to do the part again. I also liked how the movie threw some society philosophy at you, it was a good action movie. - DeaDBolT

The worst bum review, I completly don't understand why you decided to make it in this way. As if "The Dark Knight" was so moving and influencing.
Please... it was just a good action movie.

But nothing else. - Duncan

The Dark Knight is a supreme movie. And it helps to change our perspective. It is potentially a beginning for an entirely new way of making movie plots. Brilliant in every way conceivable. - JustSomeDude

I liked the Dark Knight, yes, it was good, and only that, is not as awesomeas everybody is saying, and the transformation of Harvey Dent to Two Face was really dumb, it happened even faster than anakin's into Darth Vader, and he died too dumb too, the Joker was the only atarctive of the movie, is just my opinion, if you hide this is because I was right ;D - Keihzaru
