I'm one of the few that actually liked this movie. It's cheesy early 90's fun that obviously doesn't do the game justice....but in reality some elements of the game wouldn't work like they do in the game anyways.
Either way, this review is hilarious.

I was excited to see this one when it came out. I had for the most part been a fan of all 3 films. Since for me it was interesting to see Jim Carrey come in and do the Riddler, I had the same idea with Arnie as Mr. Freeze. Sadly this movie turned out to be an abomination.
As my family goes though, I'm the last who still likes Batman Returns. Apparently that one is too wacky/dark/what-have-you. |

I'm with Dan Shannon, no "Real Ghostbusters"? Shit nevermind the movie, that opening and the Ghostbusters theme song was stuck in my head back in '86 when it came out and now a whole 22 years later, much like Duck Tales, it creeps in there from time to time.

I watched 3 Ninjas last night, inspired by your decision to do an upcoming review. There's plenty of material there, that's for sure and along with the usual MST3K treatment my bro and I usually give films.
Though, may I make a suggestion? If there's one joke that need be made during the 3 Ninjas review, it better be something along these lines.
"how many times can 3 kids say 'eye-yah' in one movie before it drives you to the brink of insanity! There's like maybe one scene that doesn't have any of them screaming out 'eye-yah' to the enjoyment of no one!" haha..
or do it like South Park did with that swearing episode and have a "eye-yah" counter at the bottom corner. Either way, that to me, would totally sell that review. |

You've so far actually made/making fun of some my my favourite guilty pleasure flicks. I guess it's more about nostalgia rather than good film making, but I love the Super Mario Bros Movie! I actually like 3 Ninjas! I love the Turtles flicks! Yeah they're bad movies, no doubt, but I love that stuff.
So let me make one more suggestion for a further upcoming movie review......an all time favourite from 1993.....
LAST ACTION HERO!

Metallica - Death Magnetic

Metallica is at a point where they should consider retirement or atleast a lengthy prolonged break where the guys can go and perhaps start their own spin off bands of sort.
To be honest though, Death Magnetic was okay I suppose. Not terrible and atleast better (but not much) than the Demo that I had passed onto me by a couple of sites earlier this year. They've been desperately trying to regain ground since the Load/Reload debacle and now they've come pretty close to atleast capturing the spirit of the black album....however in my opinion it's definitely too little too late.
I liken this idea of Ebert's review or comments on the 1998 remake of Psycho (which ironically I don't mind) with which he said "why not just watch the original"? I guess for flavour or if you have to listen to something "NEW" Metallica, but if I ever want to listen to when they were still good I think I'll listen from Kill Them All till the Black Album and be happy with that. |

That's three bad movies you've reviewed that I like. This, 3 Ninjas and the Super Mario Bros Movie. Then again at that time I was hugely into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so put "Ninja" in your film title and more than likely I saw it. I still like Surf Ninjas for sure, but because it's so bad and because it reminds of that time long ago, when the world was right and just and full of Ninjas.
P.S. If you do a review of Last Action Hero you'll have completed my early 90's bad movie quadrilogy. |
