As usual, this was a great NC segment. I remember watching this every week because it came on before the real Saturday morning cartoons started and as you said, there was nothing else on. I don't think I even had the choice for Beakman's World where I was at. There are two things I would like to address. The first is I would have thought you would have brought up the drug abuse episode (The Russian and her cousin getting addicted to some drug) since doing the PSA and cartoon all-stars shows. The second thing is I wonder why Ted Turner made the annoying one an American, maybe he has a problem with New Yorkers maybe. Anyway, keep up the good work.
"Anyway, I'm going to be doing a review of the Drug episode in the blog while pointing out some weird things about how it portrayed America and The Soviet Union. When will this come out? Probably later today (which may be soon) when I have time".
I look forward to reading it
Another good review NC. I do think it is interesting to see you do something that you really liked for a change of pace (especially after the Captain Planet review). To me, Double Dare along with "You Can't Do That on Television" made Nickelodeon in the 80's and made me stop everything to watch them. I think Double Dare is due for a revival.
I just wanted to say I thought you did a pretty good job with this. I did like the list (love Trigun, Samurai Champloo, and especially Cowboy Bebop) and I thought the use of the visual editing was good, especially when you criticized yourself during the Lucky Stars sequence. While I did like your choices, I would have had a few different ones, such as The various works of Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2 1st and 2nd seasons, Mermaid Scar, etc), Excel Saga, or The First Hellsing series but this is just personal preference and you did mention recent intros. As I mentioned, This was a good first video and I look forward for to the next video.
Actually, I think it might be funny if NC made a video saying that the AVGN has to do another one since this movie was one that no one ever saw and therefore, as that Dutch guy said, is not a nostalgic movie. Could you imagine the how the AVGN would react to that?
The only thing I wish to point out about the list is in at least the American version of Sailormoon, she is about 14 and goes to Jr. High. Sailormoon = Felony
good job. This was much better than your first video here. The production was alot more professional and I thought the segment was much more enjoyable than the first video. Keep up the good work.
I like Robocop if nothing else because of the side arm, though the Terminator would definitely have the speed on him, though in Robocop three, Robocop was able to stop a robotic ninja, so yeah Robocop for the win.
